Hello, my name is Omar Hamdi ArshiI am a Gazan who has been displaced from the North of Gaza to Rafah. I am no stranger to hardship. In 2008, I sustained severe injuries and burns on my back and arm during a previous war, requiring medical attention until 2016. That same year, my father passed away, leaving me as the sole provider for my family. Recently, I invested my savings in a business plan that was set to launch when the current war erupted, resulting in the loss of everything – family members, friends, home, savings, job, and future plans. I am currently separated from my family, who are still trapped in the North of Gaza. Every day is a struggle to find basic necessities while also seeking ways to aid my family.In addition to the mental burden, my past injuries have resurfaced, requiring medical attention. Amidst this uncertainty, rebuilding my life seems impossible, but the thought of my family needing me keeps me going. I aim to evacuate for medical help and to resume supporting my family. I yearn to piece my life back together. Sharing this campaign and contributing, no matter how small, is very helpful, as our situation gets worse by the day.
